About this service
Help us help Saskatchewan families stay together! Working in consultation with members of Food Banks of Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan SPCA has launched the Emergency Pet Food Bank to assist local families and their pets. Proper nutrition is a vital component in the health and wellbeing of all animals. By creating the Emergency Pet Food Bank, we can ensure that pet owners are able to provide this important necessity for their furry companions. The positive impact that animals have on human lives is well documented. Improved mental and physical health, as well as unconditional love and companionship are key factors of the bond between people and their pets. Many of us consider our beloved animals to be members of the family. The goal of the Emergency Pet Food Bank is to alleviate one of the many pressures faced by families that may be struggling to ensure all members of the family are fed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
