Looking to give back to your community? Want to help another in need? Then UR Pride wants you! UR Pride is seeking compassionate individuals interested in helping their fellow human in our Peer Support program.
UR Prides mission is to provide and promote health, wellness, and social support for University of Regina students, alumni, faculty, staff, friends and community at large who feel marginalized on the basis of their perceived or actual sexual and/or gender orientations and/or identities. UR Prides Peer Support program is oriented at providing healthy, social support to anyone needing someone to talk to. Our Peer Support volunteers (you) would be providing support, such as talking and listening, to individuals needing an attentive ear.
If you have all or any of the following characteristics, we would love to hear from you:
- Compassionate
- Warm
- Patient
- A good listener
- Love to support/talk with others and;
- Are 18 years or older
