DOCS (DOOR OPEN COMMUNITY SUCCESS)
DOCS was Street Cultures first residential home to open. It is a Peer Home that provides permanent housing for five girls ages 16-18, and in some cases up to 21. One of the main goals of Street Culture is to help the residents develop support systems and gain the life skills they need to move out on their own and become healthy, contributing members of society. DOCs adheres to a youth-centered, power-sharing model and has a live-in mentor and support workers, unlike traditional shift-staffed group homes. The goal setting and achieving, voluntary. respectful and supportive environment of Peer Homes has seen phenomenal success over the years.
