About this service
Routine testing is done on site and other work is referred to the General Hospital, Provincial lab as well as the Pasqua Hospital cytology department. Lab samples are sent out the day following collection with routine results returning, in paper form, within 4-5 days. It is advisable to phone the lab before bringing a request from an outside physician. Special tubes or a specific time frame may be a factor that prevent our lab from accommodating the doctors specific request. The clinic physicians and nurse practitioners do not routinely call patients with the results of their lab and x-ray tests if the results are normal.
