About this service
The primary goal of the "Come & Learn" Regina Aboriginal Head Start Program is to demonstrate that locally controlled and designed early intervention strategies can provide Aboriginal pre-school children in urban and northern settings with a desire for learning and opportunities to develop fully and successfully as young people. The program provides preschool learning for First Nations, Métis and Inuit pre-school children 3 5 years of age.
The program is organized around six components:
- Culture and Language
- Education
- Nutrition
- Health and Safety Promotion
- Social Support
- Parental Involvement
Transportation and meals are included in the four days children attend.
