The Cypress Health Region Palliative Care program helps by providing the best possible care and support. The program is for family and friends of loved ones in palliative care to help them during this difficult time of transition. The Cypress Health Region Palliative Care program:

  • Affirms life and regards dying as a natural process
  • Neither hastens or postpones death
  • Appreciates that this is a crucial period in the life of the client and family
  • Offers a support system to help the family cope during the clients illness
  • Is applicable earlier in the course of an illness, along with cancer treatment or medical therapies
  • Provides relief from pain and other distressing symptoms
  • Integrates the psychological and spiritual aspects of patient care.
  • Offers a support system to help clients live as actively as possible until death.
