About this organization

Veterans Service is one of the Royal Canadian Legions most important duties. We have two Service Officers at Provincial Command ready to assist veterans with:

  • Applications for Disability Benefits from VAC
  • Application for a Service Dog through PAWS for Veterans
  • Homeless Veterans Assistance through Leave the Streets Behind
  • Applications for our Wellness Program
  • Applications for Mental Health First Aid Training
  • Applications for a variety of Veterans Transition Programs
  • The Veterans Independence Program
  • Veterans Widows Inquiries
  • Long Term Care Inquiries
  • Last Post Fund Inquiries

The Service Officer will liaise with Veterans Affairs Canada to assist veterans to receive benefits they are entitled to.

If you know of a veteran in your area that might need help in applying for benefits through Veterans Affairs or the various Legion Programs our Legion Service Officer is here to help. Our service is free of charge and available to all veterans and their family whether they are a Legion member or not.
