About this service
Sask North Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Services is a group of programs that assist individuals, families, and communities affected by an acquired brain injury.
We are part of the Acquired Brain Injury Partnership Project, a community-based service continuum that is managed by Saskatchewan Health and funded by Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI). We provide services to northern Saskatchewan.
Service Goals:
- To make the most of a persons abilities.
- To be a link between hospital and community.
- To work with communities to adapt their existing services to meet the needs of the person with an acquired brain injury.
- To work with families and caregivers to maintain their own health and quality of life.
- To be an ongoing contact for support, follow-up, evaluation and education.
- To educate clients, family members and the community about ABI issues and prevention strategies.
