About this service
Ooshtaa: A Multi-Sector Collaborative Pursuit of Economic Security Among Proud Indigenous Women in Central and Northern Saskatchewan.
The word Ooshtaa originates from the Michif word "Achieve".
The goal of Ooshtaa is to mobilize the human service, economic, and government sectors around the identification and reduction of barriers to economic security among Indigenous women. By building a women-informed and evidence-based process, initiative staff aim to empower organizations to implement policies, practices, and solutions that mitigate the individual, employer, and systemic barriers to economic security.
