City of Prince Albert - Bylaw Enforcement

The Bylaw Enforcement Division is responsible for the compliance and enforcement of municipal bylaws to ensure a safe, quiet and pleasant environment is provided for all residents of our community.

Bylaw Enforcement Officers investigate concerns in relation to any City Bylaw. Some of the main bylaws are:

• Noise Bylaw (i.e. barking dogs, loud music)
• Animal Services (i.e. dog running at large, dog defecation, cats, wild animals)
• Waste Collection and Disposal Bylaw (i.e. garbage and recycling pickup, disposing of garbage on the street or ditch or in another person's bin)
• Traffic Bylaw (i.e. cars parked where snow removal/street cleaning is taking place, cars parked illegally, cars parked on the street that have not moved after 48 hours)
• Property Amenities Bylaw (untidy yard or junk vehicle on property, damaged or dilapidated building)
• Property Maintenance Bylaw (repair and maintenance to the structure and interior of a building)
