BBBS of Prince Albert - One-to-One Mentoring

Mentorship is a two-way, learning and development partnership where the young person's needs are placed at the centre. Mentoring is an important way to give youth experience with these essential back-and-forth relationships, developing them into healthy young people better able to deal with and overcome lifes adversities.

The one-to-one mentoring programs provide youth a role model to talk to and share the experiences of growing up with. Through regular outings, a relationship is developed between the mentor and the mentee, which is built on trust and common interests and is supported by our experienced case-workers. The result is a life-changing experience for both the mentor and the mentee.

The one-to-one mentoring programs (Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Big Siblings) usually require two regularly scheduled outings a month of several hours each and a minimum of a one-year commitment.
