Sturgeon Lake Child and Family Services (SLFCS)

Sturgeon Lake Child & Family Services will work to ensure the safety and well-being of the children and families of Sturgeon Lake First Nation.

A fully operational agency with qualified, well trained staff; programs and services that meet the needs of the children and families in the community; an Elders Advisory Committee; a Youth Council; sound governance and management policies, procedures and practices; sound financial and human resources management; and, strategic service delivery partnerships both within and external to Sturgeon Lake First Nation.

• Safe children, youth and families.
• Families receiving supports and services that mitigate the need for child protection interventions.
• Permanency plans for children who are unable to return to their own parents.
• Approved and trained foster and alternate care homes.
• A detailed work plan for the development, implementation and evaluation of family support/enhancement/prevention programs.

Sturgeon Lake Child and Family Services (SLFCS) is open Monday to Friday 8:30AM - 4:30PM; on-call service available.
