About this service
The objective of Youth Connection is to build and maintain prosocial relationship with youth needing extra support and assistance within the Battlefords. . The youth will assist in developing their 12 week connection group.This program is to create opportunities for youth to develop not only positive relationships with peers and adults but acquire knowledge and skills they need to make successful transitions into adulthood. The focus is on resilience and building the youths outer circle to assist them in overcoming adversity. They will have the opportunity to lead activities, share in decision making and work as equal partners with adults. Youth voice should be valued and respected; adults are not always the experts and authentic relationships need to build around trust and honesty.
