About this service

BRSI takes pride in its homes and its role in the community. The homes are very attractive and well maintained which fit into their surrounding neighbourhoods. BRSI contributes in a very special way to the Battlefords.

The individuals living in the group homes range in age from 19 to 58 years. All people living in the homes receive medications, 18 have epilepsy, 3 have gastrostomies, 2 are clinically blind. 8 individuals are in wheelchairs with an additional 4 using wheelchairs for transportation. The Diagnoses of these individuals include Down Syndrome, Autism or Autistic tendencies (18), FASD, Beals Impairment, Broad Thumb Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Cognitive Disability/delay, microcephaly, spastic quadriplegia, hydrocephalus, severe scoliosis, bipolar, OCD.
