About this service
The Battlefords KidsFirst HomeVisiting program provides support and assistance to prenatal women and young families in regards to child development, parenting and connecting to services within the community.
Basic Needs Support: works with families to resolve or improve issues around housing, budgeting and accessing services through completion of forms or advocacy.
Nutrition: Food Vouchers: weekly food vouchers for nutritious food are provided for prenatal women and postnatal up to twelve months for breastfeeding moms.
Circle of Learning: This program provides parents with opportunities to learn skills to develop a healthy parent-child relationship in an accessible, friendly culturally diverse learning environment.
Toddler Activity Group: the program promotes child parent interaction through activity with a literacy component. TAG supports child development in the areas of social, emotional and physical development.
