About this organization
Long term care (LTC) generally refers to the provision of accommodation, health and related services in an institutional setting to the aged, and people with disabilities whose needs cannot be met in the community. PNHR has over 12 LTC facilities.
Prairie North Health Region provides accessible, appropriate, and safe long-term care services to residents requiring such care, through a network of continuing care facilities.
Prairie North with the collaboration with East Central Health, AB and the community of Lloydminster is progressing toward rejuvenation of Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre in Lloydminster. The project will see enhancement of 55 long-term care beds to 60 new beds, and development of supportive housing to accommodate at least 40 residents.
