About this service
COVID-19 Update: Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic HDCS is encouraging clients and job seekers to call ahead to book an appointment as walk-in traffic will be restricted during this time. Hours of operation: Mon - Fri 8:00am - 4:30pm
The Summer Recreation & Respite Program is a Summer Day Camp that runs throughout July & August. This program is intended for children aged 4-18, who may require some extra support at camp due to cognitive, intellectual, or physical disabilities or barriers. This program is very flexible and strives to work with the schedules and needs of each family.
There is no registration fee for this camp. A cost of approximately $40/summer is requested to assist with activity costs. Activities include playing at the park, crafts, bowling, swimming, music, field trips to regional lakes, community sight-seeing and tours, theme days and much more. Post-secondary employment opportunities available.
