About this service
For the patient, the use of videoconferencing equipment allows you to meet with your health care provider by seeing each other through a TV or monitor. The face to face meeting happens in real time without having to travel long distances.
For the health care worker, teleconferencing sessions can be used for health care appointments, teaching and learning sessions, as well as meetings. Telehealth allows community members to attend educational sessions and support groups without traveling great distances. Family members can attend appointments from afar via Telehealth with other members from other centres, whether it be medical appointments, case conferences or visitation.
