About this service
This session is intended for newcomers to Quebec who are fluent in French and who hold a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) or a Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) as a temporary worker, student or as a foreign student and as persons residing in Quebec with an immigration status that allows it.
The themes :
- the important documents to obtain (health insurance, social insurance, driving licence, etc.);
- opening a bank account;
- finding accommodation;
- daycare services and the registration of children in school;
- the Quebec school system;
- tax credits, financial assistance for families and income tax returns;
- rights as a consumer;
- installation in the region;
- free settlement and integration support services offered by partner community organizations;
- employability services offered by public employment services and their partners;
- the Accompaniment Qubec service
- the Integration Objective session;
- democratic values and Qubec values expressed by the Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms.
