PECH - Cultural Mediation and Popular Education

Espace Sherpa is the socio-cultural component of Pech. More than a physical space, it is above all a component that fits into its community with social diversity as its leitmotif. It is a place open to all, a living environment that takes on the color of those who frequent it. He is also an active agent in his neighborhood and his community through his participation and commitment to committees, projects and collaborative activities outside his walls.

The design and genesis of Sherpa stems from the principles and practices of "The Village" in Long Beach California, the Metro Boston Recovery Learning Community and Triestre in Italy. Like the Village, we believe that a person is healed when they have a place in the community and experience a sense of well-being in the physical, emotional, creative and even spiritual dimensions of their life. In fact, it is for people to move from social invisibility to citizen participation, from object to subject.
