About this service
Since its inception, Center Step has developed expertise in supporting women in integrating and maintaining employment in so-called non-traditional sectors.
A non-traditional job is a job practiced by less than 33% of one of the two sexes. For example, the construction, engineering and mechanical trades are male-dominated trades. On the other hand, the professions of early childhood education or nursing are predominantly female professions since there are very few men.
In this sense, we have developed several projects aimed at increasing the presence of women in these predominantly male occupations.
In March 2021, we started a project to support the participation of women in the labor market in sectors targeted by economic recovery, including construction.
