About this service
Postvention refers to activities aimed at the treatment and recovery of people who have been affected by the suicide of someone in their more or less immediate surroundings. The activities carried out by the Quebec Suicide Prevention Center aim to reduce the negative short-term and long-term effects that result from suicide. (repeated in a document called ''postvention'')
Programs:
- Intervention following a suicide in the community
- Support for the bereaved
- Support group for adults bereaved by suicide
- Support group for children aged 6 to 12 bereaved by suicide
- Support group for adolescents aged 13 to 18 bereaved by suicide
