About this organization
The Sacr-Coeur Community Garden was created on April 16, 2014. It is located on the banks of the Saint-Charles River, in the Saint-Sauveur district and has 165 lots, including 6 lots for people with reduced mobility.
Goals
- Bring together people who are passionate about gardening and provide them with a space of land to create their vegetable garden;
- Develop the community aspect by pooling equipment and know-how;
- Create a social space for people from different cultures, age groups or social economic groups to allow them to maintain links with each other to achieve the common goal: to cultivate their vegetable garden;
- Contribute to a greener city, concerned with sustainable development, in particular by raising awareness of environmental issues (for example: composting).
