About this organization
The Mining Industry Workforce Sectoral Committee is a consultation structure within which representatives of companies and associations of workers in the mining sector implement strategies to meet the challenges attraction and development of the workforce as well as the challenges of human resource management in the mining industry.
Financially supported by the Commission des partenaires du march du travail (CPMT) , CSMO Mines' interventions may target one or other of the following mandates:
- Ensure the dissemination of labor market information specific to the mining industry;
- Ensure the development, recognition and upgrading of workforce skills;
- Ensure the improvement of human resources management practices through the development and dissemination of concrete tools;
- Ensure support for the integration of the Aboriginal community and new labor pools in the mining sector;
- Ensure the promotion of trades and careers and contribute to the attraction of candidates for the mining industry.
