About this organization
Created in 1949, and managed by people with physical disabilities and their relatives, the Family Hub for Persons with Disabilities is an organization for the promotion and individual and collective defense of rights.
At the heart of the mission:
- defend the freedom of choice, autonomy and the right to equality of people with disabilities
- countering discrimination and overcoming prejudice
- encourage members to participate in civic, cultural and community life, and to become defenders and promoters of their cause with their peers
- raise public and decision-maker awareness of the rights and realities of people with disabilities, their specific needs and aspirations.
