About this organization
Atout-Lire is a popular literacy group.
The group was born from the needs expressed by citizens of the St-Sauveur district.
Since 1982, Atout-Lire has been working in the heart of Quebec's Lower Town with an undereducated population.
For us, doing literacy in a popular group means:
learn to read, write and count
learn to put into words what is happening in our life and in our society
decide together what is done in our group, choose the projects on which we work
involve in the functioning of the group
develop self-confidence and autonomy
