About this organization
Emergency Shelters and food and cultural events for Indigenous individuals. The mission of Aboriginal Help Center is to provide a safe, supportive, temporary alternative to home for the aboriginal First Nation people with their children.
Aboriginal Help Center assists First nation people those who ask for asylum. We help whole families with children as well as homeless aboriginal orphans. Aboriginal children have access to valuable cultural resources but often suffer due to poverty, community isolation, lack of social services infrastructure and higher living costs. When an investigation is triggered, First Nations children are five times more likely to be investigated and 12 times more likely to be placed in foster care than non-First Nations children.
Aboriginal Help Center serves this group of very vulnerable aboriginal people.
We welcome all First nation families.
