About this service
Are you a parent or caregiver of a transgender or gender creative child? Roots & Shoots is a supportive space for families with trans or gender diverse children. This program is based on the two most important parts of a plat: the Roots (parents & caregivers) are responsible for nurturing the Shoots (children & dependents) to be the best version of themselves they can be!
No matter how old your child is, all family members are welcome to join PEERS Alliance staff & volunteers to have discussions, gain knowledge, and enjoy light refreshments in a non-judgmental environment. Bring your open minds and hearts, and learn best practices for supporting the trans or gender diverse member(s) of your family.
Who can use it?
Gender creative child under 14 years of age, and Cisgender siblings under 14 welcome
When is it open?
PEERS Alliance - Roots and Shoots is open 4th Thursday of every month from 6-8pm.
