About this organization
The Youth Centre project began in March of 1999. The project began operating out of the Town of Stratford, and was initially funded through the National Strategy on Crime Prevention and Community Safety. The key focus of the project was to look for ways to begin to provide new social and recreational opportunities for youth in Stratford, and have youth become more involved in the overall activities of the Town.
The Stratford Youth Centre has grown over the years. Business and community organization participation and support has increased as well as the awareness level of what the StratfordYouth Centre stands for in our community. Aside from regular fund-raising activities, the Stratford Youth Centre helps other committees and community functions including:
Establishing the Youth Drop In Centre at the Cotton Park for youth in grades 5 and up (ages 10+).
