About this organization
Prince Edward Island Ground Search and Rescue is a volunteer-based, non-profit, charitable organization based in Charlottetown and serving the entire province of Prince Edward Island.
On call 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, PEI GSAR members respond at all hours of the day and night and in all seasons. The mandate of PEI GSAR is to search for and rescue individuals who are lost or injured. To fulfill this mandate, PEI GSAR volunteers train multiple times a year to practice and maintain skills in navigation, survival, first aid, search techniques, search management, clue identification, tracking and more.
