About this service
Orientation Services provide assistance and information to Newcomers (Permanent Residents and Convention Refugees) in regards to immigration, government programs and services, community and social services, education, housing, employment and getting connected with others in the community. These services assist Newcomers settle and adjust to a new life in Canada.
Orientation Services are funded by the federal government through Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).
Our services include:
- interpretation
- needs assessments
- settlement plans & goals
- one-on-one consultations
- translation and notarization of documents
- information sessions
- support groups - for men, women and seniors; offers a supportive and social network to aid in the settlement and integration of newcomers
