About this service
The Leadership & Community Development for Newcomer Youth Program gives female newcomer, immigrant and youth facing social inclusion barriers between the ages of 14 to 25 the opportunity to come together and explore topics in community, leadership, career exploration, trends, technology and social change.
The program supports youth with learning and developing the necessary skill sets to persevere and overcome barriers towards successful settlement and integration. The youth are encouraged to become active participants their community, society and through civic engagement.
The Leadership & Community Development for Newcomer Youth Program helps female newcomers, immigrant and youth:
- Develop your leadership skills
- Meet new people
- Connect with and learn from professionals and community leaders
