About this service
The Program is a volunteer-based literacy program designed to assist and encourage children with reading difficulties in order to motivate and provide a positive reading experience.
Program Benefits: 1-on-1 reading with supportive volunteers; increase in confidence and motivation to read; interesting reading materials and fun activities; opportunity to develop comprehension and imagination; available at any Windsor Public Library branch.
Volunteer Requirements: volunteers must be at least 16; have a current police clearance; meet with their buddies for an hour a week; and must commit to participating for at least 6 months.
Children must be between the ages of 6-11. The childs parent / guardian must be present during the session for children under 10.
