About this service
The VON Adult Day Program goals are planned to improve/maintain cognitive function, mobility and strength with the purpose of preventing or delaying admission to a long term care facility. Our clients enjoy a pleasant yet stimulating environment with a comfortable living room, games room and dining room. Our clients also enjoy gardening and relaxing in our lovely garden area in the spring and summer months. For caregivers we offer a secure, family-like atmosphere for your loved one to enjoy while you take some much needed time for yourself.
Our program includes:
- On-site nursing
- Wellness checks including blood pressure screening
- Foot and nail care by VON nurse (frequency determined by nurse assessment)
- Hot, nutritious noon meal and snacks
- Assistance with personal care including toileting and incontinent care
- Medication reminders or assistance
- Positive, stimulating activities
- Maintaining independence
Cost: $15/day includes lunch and all activities
Who can use it?
Adults with physical or cognitive impairment and/or chronic health care needs
