About this service
The LGBTQIA2S+ community as a whole, and especially trans people, are often at an economic disadvantage. In addition, shopping trips, even when affordable, can be filled with anxiety and trauma. Our food bank exists to ensure that people have access to food when they need it, and that they feel safe in doing so.
When the #June27Miracle was organized, several of our volunteers worked tirelessly to assist with advertising, collecting, sorting, and distributing some of the 2,020,500 pounds of food, hygiene, and household products collected in Windsor-Essex. In a year of unprecedented need, this community-wide cooperative effort was awe-inspiring. We were one of 100+ community food banks/cupboards/pantries which directly benefited from the #June27Miracle, as did those who utilize our services.
We are very grateful to all those who contribute donations to our food bank in order to support this continued work.
