About this service
This program provides intensive, short term services to enhance Family Wellbeing and safely maintain children within their own family or in foster care. It is a family centered, strength based program, which identifies, builds on and enhances parental capacities, rather than providing support. There is an emphasis on being responsive while the family is in crisis and bridging to community services where appropriate. Services are provided by a team of Child and Youth Workers who teach parenting skills through hands on training in the home. Various group opportunities are provided by the team to further assist parents and children with enhancing/developing their skills.
