About this service
The Butch Collins Residence is an open custody and detention facility funded by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services Youth Justice Division. Youth who are in conflict with the law between the ages of 12-17 at the time of the offence, are admitted to the program as a result of an open custody disposition or a remand order rendered by a Youth Court Judge. During a youths stay at Butch Collins, youth are supervised by a highly skilled team of youth workers who build positive relationships and deliver a wide range of group and individual programming. Youth are provided a holistic therapeutic experience by meeting their individual needs, which includes:
- Education
- Social Work
- Substance Abuse Counselling
- Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT)
- Anger Management
- Art Therapy
- Music Therapy
- Yoga
- Recreation
- Life Skills
- Re-Integration Worker
