About this service
Therapeutic recreation enhances quality of life through the activities individuals love. At JMCC, our recreation therapist work closely with kids, youth, and families to educate and support in essential recreation participation. By eliminating barriers, recreation therapy promotes optimal health, independence, new skills, and reaching measurable goals through meaningful participation.
Working closely with other JMCC clinical staff our recreation therapist will assess, educate, consult and support children, youth and families in recreation and leisure programs.
Therapeutic Recreation services are offered to children and youth under the age of 19, and young people 19-21 who remain in secondary school and reside in Windsor and Essex County.
