About this service
In connection with the Greater Essex County District School Board our Growing Gardeners program aims to strengthen exploration and literacy skills for children in junior and senior kindergarten. Children will be taught how to garden in their classroom; this type of hands on exposure increases childrens self-esteem and problem-solving skills through trial and error. Canadas Guide to Healthy Eating is used to teach children about nutrition and how it has a positive effect on physical and cognitive growth.
