About this service
Vocational and Adult Education services provides individual assessment, career and education counselling, skills training, and community employment opportunities for both inpatients and outpatients in a welcoming and recovery- oriented environment. Services offered at our main site include:
- Individual vocational and education assessments
- Supported Education Program (OSSEP) for persons 21 years and older (academic upgrading, high-school credits, and post-secondary support)
- NorthStar Computer training
- Grove School for Young Adults (aged 18 - 21 years of age)
- Employment related workshops
- Job Development and Job Coaching (Ontario Shores is an approved ODSP Service Provider)
- Support with obtaining volunteer opportunities in the community
- Return to Work planning and support
- Safe Food Handling Certificate program
- SafeAbility health and safety training program
- Individual Work Placement programs in hospital for current inpatients
