About this service
The Seniors Reassurance Call-Out Program is free telephone support offered to individuals 55 years + living in Durham Region. Our ongoing support calls provide emotional support, safety check-ins, medication reminders and crisis support. This program allows service-users and responders to work together to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness, focus on positive coping skills, offer resource information to community agencies and keep seniors safe.
To register for this program, please complete and submit a referral form (click here) or call (905) 430-3511. During the (telephone) intake process, DCD staff arrange for weekly calls to be made Monday Friday 8:00am 8:00pm based on a mutually agreed upon schedule.
