About this service
Community Care Durhams Personal Support Workers partner with caregivers to ensure their loved ones are safely cared for while caregivers take time for their own activities, helping to prevent caregiver burnout and illness. In-Home Respite provides much needed caregiver relief for people who are caring for a loved one, with needs related to aging, physical and/or mental health, and who need some support.
What do CCD PSWs provide?
- personal care
- assistance with the activities of daily living
- social interactions
- meal preparation
- client-centered light housekeeping and more.
In-Home Respite can be scheduled during the day, evening and overnight dependent on client/caregiver needs and are invoiced at a rate of $21.50 per hour with a 2.5 hour minimum. On Statutory Holidays the rate is $32.25 per hour with a 2.5 hour minimum.
