About this organization
P.R.Y.D.E. Dr. Robert Thornton is a Before and After School program offering care from the ages of 3.8 to 12 years. We currently have a combined Kindergarten and School Age room.
Our energetic and caring educators provide a play-based learning environment, where children are valued as individuals and as active and competent contributors, with their own interests, goals and points of view. This, in turn, provides engaging experiences for children to explore ideas, investigate their theories, and interact with offers in play.
We strive to engage with families and to support each child within the context of their family; recognizing that family and child well-being are inextricably linked.
We currently share space with a School readiness program for the DDSB; Great Beginnings. A free two-hour program (February to June) offered twice a week to those who are registering for Kindergarten in the fall. Contact P.R.Y.D.E. for more information.
