About this service
The Community Support Team provides intensive support and clinical intervention services to high-risk young offenders ages 12 to 17 years (at the time of offence) and their families. The program works in partnership with Youth Probation services and aims to:
help youth reduce conflict with the law
decrease the probability of re-offending, and,
facilitate re-integration from custody & detention back into the community.
Services offered include individual, family and group-based counselling and skills training, psychological and psychiatric assessment & consultation, community and professional consultation, and referrals to other relevant community services. Evidence-based treatment programs include services for youth who have been convicted of sexual offending and for arson.
