About this organization
WAVS provides short-term practical assistance to victims of crime, tragedy, disaster, accidents and sexual assault.
Specially trained volunteers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide emotional support, practical assistance, and information and referrals. We strive to lessen the effects of victimization, encourage victims to connect with the appropriate services, assist police in their response to the needs of victims, and provide opportunities for the community to become more involved in crime prevention efforts.
