About this service
At Teens, you'll learn about the environment while helping it. WRN Teens come out as often as they can and do two kinds of jobs: Weekly Saturday morning monitoring from April to October at a farm just outside of Waterloo. We do about 20 weeks of monitoring salamanders, tree frogs and nest boxes for Eastern Bluebirds, 2 hours each time, all of which qualify as high school volunteer hours. It's exciting to observe these creatures AND you'll learn scientific procedures for data collection; Saturday afternoon work projects or learning projects once or twice a month at a various locations.

Waterloo Region Nature Teens is a club for you if... you are in high school, OR you are 13 years old and up, OR you have out-grown our Kids club (WRN Kids for ages 7-12)
