The Heart of Hastings Hospice offers grief and bereavement support to individuals dealing with the loss of a loved one. Recognizing that grief is a normal reaction to significant loss, the hospice provides a range of services geared toward individual needs, including one-on-one or group grief support. The goal of these programs is to help individuals navigate through the pain associated with loss, mitigate feelings of isolation and fear, and regain a sense of purpose in life. Moreover, the service is designed to debunk common myths around dealing with death and provide resources to assist individuals in their healing journey. The services offered at the Heart of Hastings Hospice are free of charge with the goal of easing the community's emotional burden while saving them money.
