About this organization

The first meeting held was in September 2022 for members and the community, promoting the benefits of vegetable gardening and donating excess to our local Food Bank. We held Zoom executive meetings throughout the year and a Zoom AGM for members and the public. We also plant and maintain twelve town gardens, as well as numerous town planters. Additionally, we have a butterfly program with kits that we purchase for two elementary schools and the Tweed Library. Our volunteers provide instructional guidance. We also plant and maintain gardens in raised beds for the local nursing home. Furthermore, we fund prizes for the Tweed Agricultural Society for summer and fall fairs. Our volunteer hours amount to 1329.
