About this organization
The organization is actively involved in various ongoing programs that focus on researching, documenting, preserving, and promoting the local heritage. They offer art exhibits in Memorial Hall, conduct tours of the Heritage Centre, and publish a weekly Heritage Herald. Additionally, they organize Tweed Talks in the Tweed News and introduce new programs. The organization is currently reorganizing information files in the Morton Archives, indexing past years of Heritage Heralds, and sorting old cemetery records. They also engage in community awareness outreach and recently celebrated their Platinum Jubilee. The organization has a dedicated team of six regular volunteers who have collectively contributed over 4100 hours, while occasional volunteers have contributed around 400 hours.
