Ve'ahavta offers a free program that makes becoming a B'nai Mitzvah even more meaningful. As young people take this important step in Jewish life, they learn about helping others who are experiencing poverty and homelessness. The program teaches important Jewish values like kindness (chesed), treating everyone equally (tzedakah), and loving your neighbor as yourself (Ve'ahavta). By meeting and helping people they might not usually meet, young people learn how their Jewish faith can make the world better (tikkun olam). This special experience helps them understand what it truly means to be part of the Jewish community.
